About Academy:

The Academy has 4 different phases of players. It consists of the Pre Academy (U5 – U8), Foundation Phase players (U9 – U11), Youth Development Phase players (U12 – U16) and finally the Professional Development Phase players (Academy U17 / U18 / U21). The total number of players, across all these phases, total’s approximately 190.

In accordance with our motto of ‘Arte et Labore’ (by skill and hard work), a strong work ethic, dedication, honesty, a sense of team, and an individual and collective desire to be the best, embrace everything the teams represent. It is essential to pay attention during training sessions to the relationship between practice and the real game, encouraging players to be independent decision makers.

The team, which will represent "Blackburn Rovers" on Spartak Cup-2014, takes part in English U18 tournaments among the top academies of the country and quite often achieves the success in matches against strong opponents.

International players playing for "Blackburn" in the Spartak Cup include: Hyuga Tanner (Austrailia), Mark Edgar (Northern Ireland).

The team coach is a former Irish professional footballer Brian Carey. He is a UEFA A Licence Coach, Brian Carey has been working in the Academy since 2013.
