Guliyev to miss Spartak Cup due to injury

An injury suffered by Ayaz Gulieyv, Captain of Spartak-96, during a warm-up match with US Olympic United team on Wednesday in the course of preparation to Spartak Cup international tournament has turned out to be serious. Five minutes after making appearance as a substitute in the second half Guliyev received head injury in the dog fight. Our footballer has quitted the ranks at least for a month. Yesterday Vladimir Dzhubanov, team’s senior coach, visited the hospital to support the captain.   

On April 3, in the same warm-up match guard Yegor Evteev received ankle joint ligament injury, doctors made the same diagnosis for team vice captain and midfielder Vladislav Panteleev after yesterday’s training session. According to Alexander Lazarev, Academy senior physician, it is highly probable that Yevteev and Panteleev will manage to recover by the beginning of Spartak Cup international junior tournament that will start in Sokolniki on April 9, Tuesday.
