BORUSSIA’S CHIEF COACH: "I’VE BEEN PLEASANTLY SURPRISED WITH SPARTAK ACADEMY INFRASTRUCTURE" Теги: BORUSSIA MONCHENGLADBACH
Tomas
Flat, Chief Coach of German Borussia (Monchengladbach, U-17) has shared his
impressions from an excursion in the Academy and expectations from the
tournament devoted to the 90th anniversary of Spartak:
— I’ve been impressed by quality of the fields and overall infrastructure. Spartak Academy has the sophisticated field house that is necessary in your climatic conditions. I’ve been pleasantly surprised with conditions created in the hostel for students from other cities and the number of children it can accommodate.
— What
can you say about the main field, where the tournament matches take place?
— It
slightly differs from artificial fields that are available in Germany; however,
its quality raises no concerns. Furthermore, the field is wide, with tiers that
can accommodate numerous spectators. I think our guys will be pleased to play
on it.
— What
are your expectations from the tournament devoted to the 90th
anniversary of Spartak?
— We
are grateful for the organizers for their invitation to participate at such
representative tournament. At these international competitions we’ll be able to
play with interesting opponents, who adhere to different football styles. I
anticipate persistent fight in each match, uneasy games. But I also do hope
that my guys will not only gain game-related experiences, but will also enrich
their spiritual life by visiting various historical places in the Russian
capital and get an overview of its history. Therefore, I’m looking forward to
participate in Saturday’s excursion arranged for us by the tournament
organizers.
— I’ve been impressed by the road from the airport to our hotel, namely – by the number of traffic jams in your city. As far as people, who deal with us, - they are very nice, they assist us to feel ourselves in Moscow nearly as at home.
