Vyacheslav Vashkevich, Spartak head-coach:

— There is no easy opponents on the tournament as well as there is no time for recovering. That is why we had five players in the starting XI who went on substitution in the previous match. For sure we’d like to see the same coherent performance with new players as we had in the previous matches. But we were not good at it today. We started so-so. Had enough chances but were not cold-blooded in ball control and lost it too much in dribble or passing. Also in finishing we could not convert our chances into goals.

Feyenoord were faster and more active at the beginning. After the goal conceded we started create chances. However the quality of our performance today was much worse then in the previous matches at the tournament.

We saw take-no-prisoners performance from both teams today. Both teams tried to play in attacking manner sometimes even with loose defense. There were many chances for both teams. I guess it looked very interesting for fans but for coaches it is thought-provoking performance. Anyway the draw is a fair result for such game.

I liked our today opponents very much. Feyenoord is the youngest team here but today they were really hard to beat.

We aimed to win but even the draw at last brought us the trophy. We learned that after the last match of the day so by now I just send congratulations for my guys via WhatsApp. On Sunday before the match against Atalanta I will tell them the same personally.

Sincere congratulations for our players and everyone involved. It Is the great victory of the whole Academy. It is great that Spartak Cup was revived after long period and the most pleasant think is that Spartak have won the trophy. More than that I liked that in some matches we showed great performance. The team made a huge work, overcame certain troubles such as numerous injuries. I would like to thank the players from U16 team – we have been the same crew all this week.

We are looking forward to good performance against Atalanta despite this match won’t affect our primacy. I am sure that lads will do their best to keep the same high level of performance as they did in matches against Dynamo and Rangers.

Vladislav Shitov, Spartak forward:

— We prepared for today match with great morale after three wins in row. Unfortunately today we didn’t manage to gain the fourth one. Perhaps we lacked concentration. We needed third goal and had enough chances.

It is not for the first time when I play for team one year older so I feel comfortable enough here. The attitude is very good, guys always ready to help each other.

Lennard Harties, Feyenoord midfielder:

— It was a good match. We were aware that Spartak is a very strong team so we prepared seriously. We struggled till the final whistle and could even win If we had more luck.

Today draw is the third at the tournament for us. But that doesn’t mean that we are not eager to win. We score not as many as we can and as we want yet.
