Yohan Etienne (Monaco) at the 6th minute made his team to play in advance. Getting the pass from the opposite wing, he passed the defender’s tackle at the corner of the penalty area and scored bottom by the Austrian goalkeeper.

"Rapid" was full of idea to win back and several times it lunged forward into French penalty area, but they couldn’t finish these moments with a goal. Closer to the end of the match Albin Gashi had two opportunities to score and his partner Samuel Oppong on split second was faster to the ball than Monaco’s goalkeeper in the center of the penalty area. But in that case a famous football rule works: "If you don’t score – you concedе".

 Substitute Irvin Cardona not long before the final whistle rushed the penalty area from the left and swimmingly bundled the ball to the far corner, putting an end to the match.

- We had a serious setting for that game because we couldn’t win in previous matches. I’m glad we won today, it’ll give us a stimulus to keep on fighting.  "Rapid" is a well-prepared and strong team but today we’re better. "Spartak" and "Dinamo" Minsk we’re playing on the tournament are also serious rivals, but we’re ready to fight for the victory.
