Director of Celtic Academy: "It is admirable that Spartak pays focused attention to philosophy" Теги: CELTIC
Chris
McCart, Director of Celtic Academy, shared his impressions after Spartak Cup
international junior tournament:
- I’d like to thank the organizers for their
invitation for our team to participate in these competitions, for their
hospitality and warm reception. Spartak Cup is a very high level tournament;
here our guys have got an excellent opportunity to test themselves in matches
with serious opponents.
- What can you say
about Spartak Academy in general?
- I’m impressed by Spartak Academy
infrastructure, by its facilities available for training young footballers. I’m
also pleasantly surprised with fabulous conditions at core team’s training
ground that I’ve managed to visit as well. Spartak has been evolving steadily, it
is evident. Here, in bringing up young generations of footballers focused
attention is paid to philosophy and history. The management places maximum
efforts to communicate club values to mentees and to unite teams with a common
idea. This approach is congenial for us, as at Celtic Club traditions and
philosophy play essential role as well.
- What is your
impression of Spartak guys born in the year of 1996, who played in the
tournament?
- This team has got a high potential, it looks
decently against a background of strong opponents. Footballers’ interaction in
the midfield is impressive. U-17 Spartak team demonstrates distinctive features
of Spartak style: a short pass, strong commitment to attack. Spartak Club
members show engrossing, pulsating football. The team also includes
individually strong, very promising players.
