In Celtic versus Benfica confrontation the Scottish team has proved to be stronger by scoring two unreciprocated goals into the net of the Portuguese opponents.

During the entire match the Celtic footballers acted more confidently and succeeded to translate their playing dominance into goals. The scoring was opened in the first half: the Scottish guys delivered a corner, passed to the penalty area, and Fiacre Blain met the cross with his head. At the end of the match the referee awarded a penalty to the Portuguese gates, and McMillan’s shot from the penalty spot forced Benfica goalkeeper and the ball apart to different corners.   

Celtic victory has moved the team to the second line in the table, whereas Benfica is at the bottom before the last match, where the Portuguese guys will play with Barcelona.
